Matias Mariani, tenor



Argentine-American Matias Mariani is a rising lyric tenor known for his "fiery" and "engaging" singing and stage presence. Most recently he was a finalist and recipient of the Vero Beach Opera Award at the 2013 Marcello Giordani Foundation Competition. Mr. Mariani made his debut performing the role of Tybalt in Dayton Opera’s production of Romeo et Juliette. Mariani finished that season performing a “vulnerable” and “vocally convincing” Don Jose in The Tragedy of Carmen. Mr. Mariani most recently peformed the role of Ernesto in Donizetti's Don Pasquale with the Green Mountain Opera Festival and the roles of Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor with Dayton Opera.
